I will teach the horse how to fly

Once in ancient India, the king sentenced a man to death. The man asked to save his life and added:

'If the King will be merciful to me and spare my life, then in a year I will teach his horse to fly'.

'I agree', answered the king. 'But if by that time the horse does not fly, you will be executed'.

When anxious relatives asked how he would be able to implement the promised, the man replied:

'Within a year the king may die. Or a horse may die. Or it can even learn to fly! I still will have two years to live!'
